In Chapter 3, “Post-Installation Configuration,” the “Setting up Answers Anywhere for SMS” documentation starting on page 36 has the following changes:
In Table 3-2, “CMCConfig.properties file settings,” on page 39, the description for the roleBasedAccess “true” option should read:
true – if roleBasedAccess is set to true, the CMC attempts to match a sender’s phone number to the cell number of a registered portal user. If a match is found, access controls use the roles that user has been granted. If this property is set to true, you must also specify the databaseURL and httpAuthenticationURL property values.
On page 41 (and duplicated on page 114), for the procedure “Registering with the SMS modem,” the opening paragraph should include this additional information:
Registering with the SMS modem is needed only if you set the roleBasedAccess property to true. If roleBasedAccess is not set to true, there is no need to register.
The last paragraph should read:
If roleBasedAccess is enabled, the user gets a SMS response with instructions for how to register. If disabled, no action is necessary.
