[CR #352355-2] You will receive “Error 500 - Internal Server Error” messages when using Discussion Forum portlets with Oracle 8.1.7. To use Discussion Forum portlets, you must use Adaptive Server Anywhere or Oracle 9i. Oracle 8 is not supported.
Workaround: Use Discussion Forum portlets with ASA or Oracle 9i.
